Pennridge gets past Quakertown in its 91st annual Pennsylvania Turkey Day showdown

While most traditional high school football Turkey Day games weren’t played on Thursday, Pennridge and Quakertown strapped-them-up for the 91st time. When the final horn sounded, Pennridge, ranked No. 17 in the High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25, celebrated its 58th victory in the series with a 21-14 decision, it’s sixth straight against the Panthers.

Quakertown led 14-7 going into the fourth quarter. Jake Tarburton’s fumble recovery in end zone tied the game. Bobby Croyle’s 59-yard touchdown pass to Joey Karcerik with just over two minutes to play was the game-winner.

Pennridge leads the all-time series 58-28-5.
