It’s time for the 2024 Pennsylvania high school football championships this week at Cumberland Valley High School.
Top-ranked St. Joseph’s Prep will be playing for its third straight Class 6A title when it plays Pittsburgh Central Catholic Saturday night. PCC moves from No. 7 to No. 6 in the latest High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Vikings earned their spot in the title game by beating Harrisburg 38-33.
Bishop McDevitt moves up four spots in the latest rankings after knocking-off former No. 6 Pine-Richland in the 5A semifinals. This week in the 5A championship game, the Crusaders will square-off with No. 4 Roman Catholic.
St. Joe’s and RC are two of three Philadelphia private schools playing for state championships this weekend.
The third Philly team is No. 9 Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast, who will play new No. 25 Lampeter-Strasburg in the 4A championship game.
