Pennsylvania Top 25 high school football rankings - Week 8

Bishop Shanahan makes its first-ever appearance in the High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Eagles sit at No. 25 after surprising previously unbeaten Downingtown West 28-22 last Friday. The loss drops the Whippets from No. 9 to No. 19.

This week begins the final push for the Philadelphia Catholic League’s Red Division regular season title.

Top-ranked La Salle College HS sits atop the division after beating No. 13 Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast 35-13. MD/AP, No. 2 St. Joseph’s Prep and No. 5 Roman Catholic are a game back with with 2-1 marks.

This Saturday, SJP will play Roman Catholic. The following week, La Salle will square-off with Roman Catholic and St. Joe’s will play Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast.

Out west, this week, No. 6 Pine-Richland at No. 9 North Allegheny.
