Jon Nelson is a good friend of High School Football America as one of the biggest supporters of the sport of high school football in the nation.
On today’s HSFA Podcast, Nelson talks with Jeff Fisher about his sixth book — Nobles Strong: Lessons in Destiny.
The book focuses Irwin County High School head football coach Buddy Nobles’ battle with stomach cancer during the 2019 high school football season. The community and his players rallied around the beloved coach, giving him a state championship about a month before his passing.
Nobles was on-hand when Irwin County won the Class 1A Public championship, which led the Indians to a No. 8 ranking in the High School Football America Small Schools national rankings.
In his book, Nelson does a marvelous job of taking the reader through a season full of strength and lessons. Below, you can listen to him talk about the strength of Coach Nobles and his life.
