One of the great high school football stories in America this year is taking place in Greenville, Mississippi.
Greenville Christian School has climbed to No. 79 in the High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football, by beating schools more twice their size. The 2020 Midsouth Association of Independent Schools 3A state champ only dresses 36 players, but so far has beaten two-time defending MAIS 6A champ Madison-Ridgeland Academy and 6A Mississippi public school champ Oak Grove.
Below, listen to Jeff Fisher chat with Greenville Christian head coach Jon Reed McLendon, who in addition to his coaching duties, serves as a pastor at a small church in the town along the Mississippi River.
