Polynesian Co-Player of the Year Puka Nacua shines in Polynesian Bowl

On Friday, USC verbal commit Puka Nacua of Orem (Utah) was named the Polynesian High School Football Co-Player of the Year with Taulia Tagovailoa of Thompson High in Alabama. On Saturday, Nacua was named Offensive MVP of the Polynesian Bowl that was won by Team Makai 27-7 over Team Mauka. 

Nacua caught six passes for 93 yards and touchdown.

Menlo-Atherton (California) linebacker Daniel Heimuli was named the game’s Defensive MVP. He finished with six tackles, a sack and 3.5 tackles for loss.
