Prep Gridiron Logistics (PGL) has put together a first-class high school football broadcast schedule on FloFootball. Many of the games will have a huge impact on the 2023 High School Football America national championship chase.
22 teams in the Preseason HSFA 300, powered by NFL Play Football, will appear at least once on FloFootball this year.

This is the third year that PGL and Flo have partnered to produce high school football broadcasts.
According to Joe Maimone, Managing Partner of Prep Gridiron Logistics, during the first three seasons of his partnership with FloSports, PGL will infuse almost $500,000 into the sport of high school football.
“This is only the beginning,” said Maimone. “The best is yet to come!”
The 19-game schedule kicks-off with two major showdowns on August 18.
August 18 – No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) at No. 7 Buford (Georgia)
Maryland’s St. Frances Academy travels to Georgia for a dual with Buford. SFA finished No. 7 in our national rankings last season and will be a contender for this year’s national crown. Buford, after winning three straight state titles, was in the national championship hunt last year before losing in the second round of the Georgia 7A playoffs.
SFA will be led by senior quarterback Michael Van Buren, who has verbally committed to Oregon. It doesn’t stop with Van Buren. There’s plenty of talent on both sides of the ball to play one of the toughest schedules in the nation.
Senior running back DeJuan Williams is considered a 4-star prospect with 17 college scholarship offers.
Like Van Buren, senior cornerback Ify Obidegwu has given his verbal to Oregon.
Buford is led by the nation’s top player, quarterback Dylan Raiola and 5-star defensive back KJ Bolden. Raiola, who has given his verbal to the Georgia Bulldogs, transferred to the Wolves in the spring.
5-star defensive lineman Eddrick Houston joins Bolden to give the Wolves a very strong 1-2 punch on defense.
August 18 – No. 5 IMG Academy (Florida) at No. 23 Lipscomb Academy (Tennessee)
2020 national champ IMG Academy opens on the road in Tennessee against Lipscomb Academy. LA finished No. 13 in the nation last year after capturing the school’s second straight Division II-AA state title. IMG finished No. 8 in America in ’22.
No surprise that IMG, which recruits players from around the nation, has a ton of talent this year. Five of the Top 50 players on 247Sports Composite Rankings for the Class of 2024.
Lipscomb Academy will have a new look on the sidelines after former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer accepted the head job at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He has been replaced by Pro Football Hall of Famer Kevin Mawae.
IMG, Lipscomb and St. Frances will each make two appearances on Flo.
August 19 – Christ School (North Carolina) at Lowndes (Georgia)
This game is part of the PGL’s Georgia-Carolina Challenge at Colquitt County High School in South Georgia.
Lowndes is coming off a sub-par 5-6 season, but is expecting a quick turnaround under Adam Carter, who won a state title at Grayson in 2020.
Christ School from Arden, North Carolina was 6-6 last year with two losses to nationally-ranked Providence Day.
August 19 – No. 11 Dutch Fork (South Carolina) at No. 18 Colquitt County (Georgia)
This one features two traditional powers from neighboring states.
Led by legendary head coach Tom Knotts, Dutch Fork has won six of the last seven championships in South Carolina’s largest classification. Overall, Knotts owns 13 state championships — seven at Dutch Fork and six at Independence (North Carolina).
Last year, DF finished No. 17 in the nation.
Colquitt County owns three overall Georgia state football titles, winning the 2015 HSFA national championship.
Last year, the Packers finished No. 28 in our national rankings with a 13-1 record. CC’s only loss was in the state semifinals to Class 7A runner-up Carrollton.
August 24 – No. 59 Milton (Georgia) at Western (Davie, Florida)
This is part of the Broward County vs. The USA event.
Milton was ranked No. 94 at the end of 2022. The Eagles were 10-4, losing to eventual 7A state champ Mill Creek in the state semifinals.
Western is coming off a 7-4 season.
August 25 – No. 73 Highland Springs (Virginia) at No. 182 Miramar (Florida)
Virginia-power Highland Springs travels to Florida to take part in the Broward vs. USA event. The Springers won the Class 5 state title last season, their fifth since 2015.
Head coach Loren Johnson has built the program into a regular in our national rankings. Last year, the Springers finished No. 74 in the nation.
Miramar is coming off a 10-2 season and a No. 201 ranking in the HSFA 300.
August 25 – No. 156 St. Peter’s Prep (New Jersey) at No. 134 Creekside (Georgia)
Georgia’s Creekside has been building a national presence by playing top-quality out-of state opponents. Last year, the Seminoles finished 10-3 with a No. 131 national ranking. They lost in the 5A state quarterfinals to eventual state runner-up Warner Robins.
After the St. Peter’s Prep game, the Tribe will travel west to play national power Mater Dei in Southern California.
St. Peter’s Prep finished last season 7-4, ranked No. 161 in the Top 300.
This game will be played on the campus of Morehouse College.
August 26 – Clarkson Football North (Canada) vs. Martinsburg (West Virginia) in Ironton Gridiron Classic
Football North has been coming to the Lower 48 for years now to play the American brand off football. The program has played many teams that appear regularly in the HSFA 300.
Last year, the program finished 3-6 against a schedule that featured five teams that finished ’22 inside the Top 300. They played No. 7 St. Frances Academy (Maryland), No. 12 St. Edward (Ohio), No. 34 Archbishop Hoban (Ohio), No. 48 DeMatha (Maryland) and No. 124 St. Ignatius (Ohio).
While, the Canadian team lost all five of those games, they did pick-up wins against Ohio’s Massillon Perry and Mentor to go along with a victory over Pallotti of Maryland.
Martinsburg has won nine West Virginia titles in the state’s biggest classification since 2010. The Bulldogs will have a familiar face to the program on the sidelines this season. After three years at Division 2 Concord University, David Walker is back as the head coach of the program.
Walker left in 2019 after leading the Bulldogs to four straight AAA titles. He left for Concord on a 56-game win streak.
In 2020, the school renamed Cobourn Field to David M. Walker Stadium. Walker owns 304 high school victories.
August 26 – No. 43 DeMatha (Maryland) vs. No. 156 Springfield (Ohio) in Ironton Gridiron Classic
Great Public/Private matchup in the Ironton Gridiron Classic at Tanks Memorial Stadium.
DeMatha owns 24 championships in the powerful Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. The Stags are coming-off a 10-2 season with No. 48 ranking in the HSFA 300.
Led by legendary head coach Bill McGregor, DeMatha won the regular season WCAC division championship in ’22, but lost to St. John’s College HS in the postseason championship game. McGregor owns a record of 304-50-3.
The Stags are always tough on defense. This year’s squad is led by 3-star defensive lineman Emmett Laws (Class of ’24), who’s given his verbal to Virginia Tech. On the offensive line, Mason Lindsay is a 3-star prospect committed to Pitt. Running back Junior-to-be running back Bud Coombs has picked-up 13 college scholarship offers.
Springfield, runner-up in Ohio’s Division I in 2021 and 2022, is led by former NFL safety Maurice “Mo” Douglass. The Wildcats finished ’22 ranked No. 64 in our Top 300.
Douglass’ defensive is led by the top prospect in the state. Defensive back Aaron Scott is considered a 4-star recruit by 247Sports. Scott, who has 29 college offers, led the team with five interceptions last year.
August 26 – No. 19 St. John’s College HS (Washington, DC) at No. 16 American Heritage (Plantation, Florida)
This is the spotlight game in the Broward/USA event.
As mentioned before, SJC won the WCAC last year. The Cadets, who year-in and year-out play one of the toughest schedules in the nation, finished No. 47 in America.
Running back Da’Juan Riggs, the team’s leading rusher last year, is back for his senior season. The 3-star recruit has 20 scholarship offers.
American Heritage finished No. 11 in the nation after losing to No. 2 Miami Central in the Florida 2M state championship game. While the Patriots lost a lot of talent, including three-year starting QB Blake Murphy, the cupboard is never bare at AH.
Dia Bell, who saw limited time as a freshman, is expected to become the next high-quality American Heritage quarterback. Bell is the son of former NBA player Raja Bell, who is the head basketball coach at the school. Dia led the basketball team in scoring last year with 20.7 points per game.
September 1 – Erasmus Hall (New York) at No. 63 Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey)
While most think high school basketball when they think of high school sports in New York City, Erasmus Hall has become of football power that isn’t afraid to play top programs outside of the city. Last December, the Dutchmen from Brooklyn won their fourth straight PSAL title.
Senior EDGE rusher Caden Brown is getting plenty of looks from teams from the Big 10.
Don Bosco has never ducked strong out-of-state teams. The Ironmen finished No. 51 in the HSFA 300 after a 9-3 season.
Logan Bush is back for DBP. Bush ran for 1,319 yards last year with 13 touchdowns.
September 1 – No. 50 Jones (Orlando, Florida) at No. 30 Good Counsel (Maryland)
This is another good Public/Private matchup.
Jones, coached by former NFL’er Elijah Williams, has made a name for itself in our national rankings by playing a strong out-of-state schedule. The Fightin’ Tigers finished No. 52 in the nation last year. This year’s regular season schedule features four teams that finished last year in our Top 300.
Good Counsel finished No. 58 last year. The Falcons play in the uber-tough WCAC that includes DeMatha and St. John’s.
247Sports has linebacker Aaron Chiles as the No. 1 college football recruit in the state. The 4-star recruit has 30 scholarship offers.
September 2 – Glenbard West (Illinois) vs. De Smet (Missouri) in Gateway Scholars Football Classic
Glenbard West is coming off an 11-2 record. The Hilltoppers lost to eventual 8A state champ Lincoln-Way East in the state semifinals.
De Smet finished 7-6 last year.
September 2 – No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) at No. 47 East St. Louis (Illinois) in Gateway Scholars Football Classic
Like Glenbard West/De Smet, this game is part of the Gateway Scholars Football Classic at East St. Louis High School. ESL is another one of those teams unafraid of big-time national programs.
The Flyers finished No. 64 in America last year after winning the Illinois 6A title. Last year, ESL lost a 20-13 heartbreaker to St. Frances.
Before the SFA game, the Flyers open with No. 71 Mt. Carmel (Chicago, Illinois). After the Panthers game, the Flyers head to Texas to play No. 87 Atascocita.
September 2 – Bellevue (Washington) at Central Catholic (Oregon)
Bellevue won Washington’s 3A state championship last season. The Wolverines own 12 overall state titles since 2001.
Central Catholic has won two 6A state championships in the last three football seasons in Oregon. The state didn’t play football in 2020, due to COVID-19.
September 8 – No. 20 Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) at No. 14 Chaminade-Madonna (Florida)
All you need to say is Jersey vs. Florida and fans will get excited to tune-in.
BC was in the national championship chase last year before losing to arch-rival Don Bosco during the regular season. Despite that loss, the Crusaders bounced back to finish No. 21 in the nation, which included a revenge defeat of DBP in the Non-Public A state championship game.
Bergen Catholic has now won back-to-back state titles.
Chaminade-Madonna has won five Florida state titles in six years. The Lions won the 1M title last year to finish No. 9 in the HSFA 300.
September 8 – No. 78 Christian Brothers College (Missouri) at No. 23 Lipscomb Academy (Tennessee)
CBC has gone back-to-back in Missouri’s biggest class. The Cadets finished No. 72 in our national rankings after winning their fifth overall Class 6 state championship.
September 8 – No. 5 IMG Academy (Florida) at Ben Davis (Indiana)
National power IMG will be playing in Indiana this year thanks to a change in the Indiana High School Athletic Association rule that limited schools from playing schools from outside a 300-mile travel radius of the state’s borders.
Ben Davis is coming-off a 6-4 season, losing to Brownsburg in the first round of the 6A playoffs. The Giants spent a large portion of the season inside our national rankings before finishing the year ranked No. 308 in America.
September 15 – No. 10 St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) at Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey)
St. Joe’s has won 3 of the last four Pennsylvania 6A state titles. The Hawks finished No. 19 in the HSFA last year after winning their seventh overall state title.
SJP appears ready for an eighth title with 4-star quarterback Samaj Jones back for his senior season.
