The High School Football America 1000 preseason rankings, that we released on Tuesday, will be whittled-down to the Top 300 this weekend. The release of the HSFA 300, powered by NFL Play Football, will begin on Friday.
Not only will the release be done here on our website, but it will also be done on our social media platforms — Facebook, Instagram and X.
This will be our 12th preseason ranking.
High School Football America began its national rankings in 2012. However, there wasn’t a preseason poll twelve years ago. Instead, we waited until September 17, 2012, about a month into the season before releasing, our very first Top 25.
It should be noted that the 2012 Top 25 was an opinion poll done by myself. The reason for the delay was I decided it was best to wait until there a decent amount of on-field games, before putting my opinion out there.
Throughout 2012, I was working on our proprietary algorithm, that we currently use for our national and state rankings. We unveiled our algorithm rankings in 2013, but then I called them “Power Rankings.”
