Defending CIF-Southern Section Western Division (VII) champ Palos Verdes (10-3) will be on the road to defend its title when it plays top-seeded Calabasas, ranked #22 in the latest High School Football America/SoCal 25, Saturday night. Calabasas will be playing in its first-ever CIF-SS football championship game.
Calabasas junior quarterback Tristan Gebbia has had a great year in leading the Coyotes to a 12-1 record by completing 231-of-363 passes for 3,765 yards with 40 touchdowns and only six interceptions. Brian Hightower is Gebbia’s leading receiver with 51 catches with 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns.
After an 0-3 start, Palos Verdes has won ten straight. The Sea Kings have a strong defensive unit that’s only given-up 148 points this year.
