Prince Avenue Christian wins back-to-back Georgia high school football championships

Prince Avenue Christian beat Swainsboro 49-32 Monday night for its second straight Class A Division I high school football state championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons. It’s the Wolverines third state title in four years.

Senior quarterback Aaron Philo broke Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s career passing yards record, set during his high school career at Cartersville. The Georgia Tech-recruit was 31-to-40 for 320 yards and three touchdowns. He unofficially finishes his career with 13,922 yards, according to Georgia High School Football Daily.
