Aside from Christian Brothers Academy’s (Syracuse) entrance into the High School Football America New York Top 10, it was a quiet week in the statewide rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. CBA makes its first appearance this year in the Top 10 thanks to former No. 10 St. Joseph Collegiate’s 39-22 loss to No. 7 Canisius.

This week’s feature game is in the Catholic High School Football League where No. 1 Iona Prep will take-on No. 3 St. Anthony’s. Both teams are unbeaten (2-0) in AAA play.

Iona Prep made a big jump in our national rankings on Sunday after New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep beat Bergen Catholic. This week, the Gaels are No. 49 in the High School Football America 100.

No. 2 Archbishop Stepinac also moved up in the national rankings this week. The Crusaders are up to No. 237 this week. This week, Stepinac plays unbeaten Moore Catholic in a cross-division game.
