Ramsay beats Charles Henderson for Alabama 5A state high school football title

Junior running back Ashton Ashford had a monster 5A championship game Thursday night at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium to lead Ramsay to a 41-20 win over Charles Henderson. Ashford carried the ball 44 times for 281 yards with five touchdowns.

Ramsay now owns two Alabama high school football championships. The Rams finish the season with a 13-2 record. Charles Henderson, which won only two games in 2021, finishes 12-2 this year.
