Alabama high school football fans will get a heavy dose of games on television this year, thanks to Raycom Media that will broadcast 18 high school football games in 2016.  The games are part of the Raycom/AHSAA Thursday Night Game of the Week Series.

It gets started with Raycom broadcasting all three of the 11th annual Champions Challenge games in mid-August.  Raycom’s Thursday night schedule will then begin on October 6th with the Spain Park vs. Thompson contest.  There will be three other regular season Thursday night games, followed by four playoff games during the first four rounds of the postseason.  Raycom will then televise all seven Alabama state championship games.
