With high school football news being dominated by COVID-19 and the effect it’s having on the 2020 season, High School Football America put its announcements of the scoutSMART HSFA Preseason Academic All-American Watch List on-hold for a several weeks to make sure that our student-athletes got the proper attention they deserve.
Around noontime Wednesday, we will announce our latest honoree. In addition, we are re-opening the nomination process, since many coaches around America were busy getting things ready for what will be a very different season, because of the coronavirus pandemic.
If you’ve already nominated a player, there’s no need to re-submit, we’ll be honoring them in the coming weeks. If you haven’t…coaches, here’s how you can get involved to honor your student-athletes — simply nominate any of your players who are strong in the classroom and on the field by emailing us at [email protected].
For your student-athlete to be added to our Watch List, please include the following:
- Student’s Name
- High School
- Position
- Class
- GPA
- Test Scores (if available)
- A short description of their contribution on the field and off
