For the first time since 2014, Red Bank Catholic is a New Jersey high school football state champ. The Caseys beat DePaul Catholic 13-8 for the Non-Public B state title.

RBC was led by senior quarterback Alex Brown, who had an emotional end to his high school football career. Brown’s mother passed away, after a long battle with cancer, before the playoffs began.

Friday night at MetLife Stadium, Brown threw for a touchdown and ran for one.

Red Bank Catholic should rise in the next High School Football America national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Caseys entered the game in our Honorable Mention group, which placed them between No. 201 and No. 300. DePaul entered the championship game ranked No. 87 in America.
