Rhode Island Spring ’21 high school football games to begin March 26

Several days after Rhode Island high school football teams began practicing, state officials announced that schools will be allowed to play regular season games starting March 26.

After a five-game regular season, the postseason will begin with the state semifinals. The state championship games, known as Super Bowls, will be played May 1 and 2.

In September, the Rhode Island Interscholastic League announced that the fall football season was moving to Spring 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
