High school football practice will begin February 22, but there’s still no indication of whether there will be games this year. Last September, the Rhode Island Interscholastic League moved the 2020 season to the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Right now, girls’ volleyball, unified volleyball and competition cheer will be able to start competition after 10-days of practice after February 22, while clearance needs to be given to football on competition due to the fact that the sport is considered high-risk.
