Riverheads wins record 5th straight Virginia high school footballs state championship

High school football history was made on Saturday when Riverheads beat Galax 65-29 for Virginia’s Class 1 state championship. It was the fifth straight state title for the Gladiators, which is the most ever consecutively in the Commonwealth.

The title is the eighth overall for Riverheads.
