Poly Bears footballRiverside Poly has named Opalani Vailpulu as the school’s new head football coach.  The Poly grad has served as a defensive assistant at the school for the last two seasons.

The Press-Enterprise reports that Vailpulu is one of seven family members to play for Poly.  He takes over for Dennis Brown, who resigned earlier this year.

Last year, Brown led the Bears to a 13-1 mark, losing to eventual CIF Division II champ Redlands East Valley in the CIF-SS Inland Division championship game.
