Rochester High School is the winner of the Chicago Bears Nike 11-ON high school football competition. The Rockets beat 15 others teams that competed last Thursday and Friday at the NFL team’s fourth annual event at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Illinois.

The two-day competition featured about 450 players taking part in a 7-on-7 tournament and individual skills challenges that included a QB Throwing & Accuracy challenge, Fastest Man challenge and multiple Lineman challenges.

Bears alumni Jason McKie, Kaseem Sinceno and Rashied Davis coached and guided the athletes. McKie is currently the head coach at Carmel Catholic, which finished second. Sinceno is the head coach at Bloom Township, which also competed.

As the winning team, Rochester received a $2,000 donation from the Bears for the school’s football program. Overall, the top eight teams received $8,000 in donations and  individual event winners also were given various donations in recognition of their outstanding performance.
