After spending the first half of the 2018 regular season just outside of the High School Football America Georgia Top 25, Roswell makes a big move in the latest rankings thanks to a 22-20 victory over former No. 8 Milton Friday night. Not only did the victory move the Hornets into the statewide rankings at No. 10, but they also broke into our national rankings at No. 90.
There are now twelve Georgia teams in the HSFA 100, which places the state second behind Texas that has 14 teams nationally-ranked.
The week ahead will be a dandy with head-to-head Top 25 matchups between No. 1 Colquitt County and No. 3 Grayson, No. 5 Buford squaring-off with No. 12 Archer and No. 11 Milton facing No. 14 Parkview.
No. 21 Marietta, which has one of the toughest schedules in the nation, will be in Washington, D.C. this weekend to face No. 3 St. John’s College High School.
Aside from Roswell, Troup County is new to the rankings at No. 25.
