It’s high school football playoff time in Vermont. Rutland heads into the Division I quarterfinals this week as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Vermont Top 5, powered by NFL Play Football.

The Raiders, who will play Burlington/South Burlington this week, solidified its spot at No. 1 last week with a 49-14 win over No. 3 Hartford.

Essex closed-out the regular season with a 28-14 win over former No. 4 Champlain Valley Union. The Hornet and CVU flip-flop positions in the latest rankings.
