Saguaro moves to No. 1 in the latest High School Football America Arizona Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Sabercats make the jump after Highland surprised preseason No. 1 Basha 22-21 in a battle of reigning state champs. Basha won the ’22 Open Division title, while Highland was the 6A championship.
Saguaro will test the No. 1 ranking this week when it plays Basha, which falls to No. 4 in the latest rankings. It will be a rematch of last year’s Open Division championship game won by the Bears 28-21.
