The NFL’s San Francisco 49ers are continuing to help high school and middle school football coaches in Hawaii.  The Niners are underwriting the entire cost of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association’s middle school and high school coaches training through USA Football’s Heads Up Football program. It’s the second straight year that the NFL club is sponsoring the educational program.

The program touches 100 middle and high school football programs. Last year, approximately 800 Hawaiian coaches completed Heads Up Football training.

According to USAFootball.com, Heads Up Football is the safer way to practice and play. USA Football has worked with leaders in both medicine and sport across the country to create a full-featured program that any league or school can use to address key safety issues — and ensure that every coach understands and knows how to implement each component of the program.
