Top 100: Shadow Creek wins Texas high school football state championship in 2nd year defeating No. 21 Denton Ryan

In just its second year of varsity football, Shadow Creek is a Texas high school football champ after beating No. 21 Denton Ryan 28-22 for the Class 5A Division I state championship. The championship comes one year after the Sharks lost to Highland Park in the 2018 state championship game in its first year as a varsity program.

Denton Ryan had a chance to tie the game on a Hail Mary on the final play of the game.

Shadow Creek, ranked No. 25 in our Texas Top 25, is now 31-1 in two seasons of varsity football.

Denton Ryan finishes 15-1.
