Shake-up in the middle of Week 3 of Illinois Top 10

There’s a shuffle from No. 4 through No. 7 in the latest High School Football America Illinois Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football. Joliet Catholic jumps three spots to No. 4, while St. Rita drops to No. 5 after its 37-7 loss to No. 3 Loyola Academy. Naperville Central is down one to No. 6 after losing 17-14 to Detroit Catholic Central from Michigan.

Lincoln-Way East also slips one to No. 7.

No. 1 East St. Louis lost its first game of the season over the weekend in the Los Angeles-area. The Flyers dropped a 42-26 decision to St. John Bosco, ranked No. 5 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.

This week’s Game of the Week will feature No. 3 Loyola Academy taking-on No. 9 Brother Rice in a CCL/ESCC Blue Division showdown. The other game in the Blue Division features No. 2 Mount Carmel taking-on unbeaten Marist.
