It’s time for No. 1 Mount Carmel (Chicago) vs. No. 3 Loyola Academy in the High School Football America Illinois Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The reigning 7A and 8A state champs will meet Saturday for the Chicago Catholic League Blue Division title.
There are no changes in the latest rankings. No. 2 East St. Louis solidified its spot behind MC with a 27-15 win over No. 10 Edwardsville. It gave the Flyers their eighth straight Southwestern Conference championship.
Edwardsville will try to rebound this week when it plays nationally-ranked De Smet from Missouri.
