Thursday night, No. 1 Bishop Gorman will battle No. 2 Liberty for the top spot in next week’s High School Football America Nevada Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. It’s the Gaels fifth straight game against an opponent in the HSFA 300 national rankings. BG is ranked No. 3 in the Top 300. Liberty is ranked No. 126.

Nevada high school football fans have been enjoying this showdown between these two since 2019 when Liberty snapped Gorman’s 55-game win streak against in-state opponents on the way to win the 5A championship. That ended Liberty’s run over ten straight state titles.

After last year’s 5A title, the Gaels have won 12 of the last 13 titles in the state’s largest classification.
