It all starts Thursday with the 90th meeting between Alcoa, ranked No. 78 in the High School Football America 100, and Maryville, which is Honorable Mention in our latest national rankings. The two schools that are about 5 miles apart always put on a great show.
On Friday, Whitehaven, a new member of the HSFA 100 at No. 96 after its defeat of Arkansas-power North Little Rock, travels to the Nashville-area to play No. 5 Brentwood Academy, which is looking to rebound from its loss to McCallie, which moves to No. 4 in the statewide rankings and No. 104 in the national rankings. BA is No. 110 in our national rankings.
