Neither Serra nor Narbonne duck good competition during the non-league portion of their schedules. Tonight, both teams will try to set the tone for the rest of their seasons by colliding in Harbor City.

For Serra (2-1), #9 in the latest SoCal Top 25, it’s the end of the non-league schedule with Mission League play set to begin next week. The Cavaliers have bounced back from their Week 1 loss to nationally-ranked Corona Centennial. Narbonne (1-1) is playing its second ranked team in three weeks. The Gauchos opened the season with a last minute 20-17 loss to Long Beach Poly.
Serra’s defense will have its hands full with Narbonne senior quarterback Roman Ale, who’s completed an incredible 77.4% of his passes in two games. Ale has connected on 41-of-53 throws for 489 yards with five touchdowns. He’s also run for an average of eight yards per carry with a touchdown.
