The 2021 South Carolina High School League high school football championships will be played over three days, instead of the usual two. The SCHSL voted Wednesday to lengthen the postseason and hold all of the title games at one location.

Things will open this year with the 4A championship game on Thursday night, December 2 at 7 P.M. On Friday (December 3), the 3A (7 P.M.) and 2A (2 P.M.) championship games will be held. The weekend will wrap-up with the Class A (noon) and the 5A (7 P.M.) title tilts on Saturday, December 4.

The SCHSL will determine the host site for the games at a later date.

In the past the University of South Carolina’s Brice-Williams Stadium has hosted the 5A, 4A and 3A championship games, while the 2A and A games have been played at Benedict College. Last year during COVID-19, Spring Valley High School and Benedict hosted the championships.
