The AAAAA state semifinals will go a long way to sorting out what the final High School Football America South Carolina Top 10 will look like.

A showdown between five-time defending state champ Dutch Fork and No. 5 Fort Dorchester highlights this week’s action that will determine next week’s state championship matchups. On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Gaffney, which beat former No. 3 Northwestern in overtime, faces No. 6 Spartanburg.

The Indians and the Vikings opened the season against each other with Gaffney winning 31-12.

Beaufort breaks into the Top 10 for the first time this year. The Eagles enter at No. 9 after beating former No. 9 Myrtle Beach 20-19 in the AAAA state quarters. Next up for the Eagles will be West Florence.
