Starting with the 2019 season, South Dakota will have Six-Man football. The South Dakota High School Activities Association approved the new classification by a vote of 6-1 last week. It will replace the 9-Man B classification.
Schools with a male-only average daily membership of 40 and lower will be part of the new six-man classification.
