South Pointe won the battle of defending champs last week, which moves the Stallions from No. 3 to No. 1 in the latest High School Football America South Carolina Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The defending 4A champ raced-out to a 23-0 lead and never looked by in the 47-26 win.

Preseason No. 1 Gaffney falls to No. 3, while Dutch Fork moves to No. 2 after beating North Carolina-power 27-24. This week, Dutch Fork plays No. 7 Spartanburg, which will try to rebound from its loss to Georgia’s Langston Hughes, ranked No. 30 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.

AC Flora is up a spot this week to No. 6 after knocking-off preseason No. 8 Greenville 38-20.

New to the rankings this week are Hillcrest at No. 8 and Byrnes at No. 9.
