Southeast Polk is the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Iowa Top 10 heading into the postseason. The Rams finish the regular season with an 8-1 record with their only loss to No. 3 Ankeny.
Last year, Ankeny beat Southeast Polk for the 4A state champ. SEP heads into the new 5A classification, which has seven team in our statewide rankings powered by NFL Play Football.

The biggest opening round playoff game will be in Class 5A Pod two where No. 2 Iowa City will square-off with No. 6 Urbandale, which is coming-off a 17-16 loss to Northwest (Waukee).
