Southern Columbia’s record ninth Pennsylvania high school football championship puts the Tigers at the top of the final Pennsylvania Small Schools Top 10 that is created with High School Football America’s proprietary algorithm. The 2A champs finished a perfect 16-0 this year with a 32-game win streak. The last time the Tigers, who have won three state championships in the last four years, lost was in the 2016 state title game to Steel Valley.
3A champ Aliquippa finishes No. 2 in the final rankings, followed by the team they beat for the state title — Middletown at No. 3. Scranton Prep finishes No. 4 and Conwell-Egan at No. 5.
