Earlier this year, Southern Columbia’s 65-game win streak was snapped, but on Friday at HersheyPark Stadium, the Tigers extended their streak of consecutive state titles to five. SC beat Serra Catholic 62-25 to win the 2A state championship.

Southern Columbia has now won twelve overall state championships in 20 title game appearances. It’s also the second time that the Tigers have won five straight.

As always, the Southern Columbia was led by a very strong ground game. The Tigers ran for nearly 400 yards, finding the end zone nine times.

Kent State-recruit Gavin Garcia carried the ball 22 times for 162 yards and three touchdowns. Braeden Wisloski scored four touchdowns while rushing for 139 yards. Wes Barnes had 106 yards on 13 carries.

Southern Columbia, which has won three straight High School Football America Small School national championships, finishes 15-1.
