St. Johnsbury Academy is the new No. 1 in the High School Football America Vermont Top 5

After battling back from a nine-point deficit to beat top-ranked Burr & Burton Friday, St. Johnsbury Academy is the new No. 1 in the High School Football America Vermont Top 5.

David Hutchinson led SJA with six touchdowns in the 50-38 victory. Hutchinson ran for 175 yards and caught four passes for 113 yards. Three of his TD’s came on the ground, while the other three came through the air.

Burr & Burton, the defending Division II champs, fall to No. 2 in the latest statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
