Some of the top high school football in the state of Missouri are being allowed to return the gridiron after sitting-out the first five weeks of the regular season due to the coronavirus pandemic. Teams like defending Class 6 champ De Smet, Christian Brothers (CBC) and defending Class 2 champ Lutheran North and all other teams in St. Louis County had been sidelined by health officials concerned about the spread of COVID-19.
The rest of the state started the 2020 high school football season on-time at the end of August.
