St. Mary beats Potter County in double overtime in South Dakota 9B state championship

Dell Rapids St. Mary outlasted Potter County in double-overtime 44-42 to claim the South Dakota 9B state championship.

St. Mary won its first-ever championship by scoring a two-point conversion on the game’s final play at the DakotaDome.

The Cardinals were led by Nic Gaspar, who ran for 103 yards with two touchdowns. He also caught three balls for 62 yards and a touchdown.
