If there’s one thing that’s definite about northern Northern New Jersey football is nothing is definite…forever. Take Bergen Catholic’s strong 2-0 start that included an impressive road win against Georgia-power Grayson and what happened Friday night against St. Peter’s Prep.
The Marauders took apart BC 34-7, which not only pops them to the top of the latest High School Football America New Jersey Top 25, but also moved SPP from No. 62 to No. 24 in our national rankings.
In the statewide rankings, St. Peter’s is No. 1 this week followed by BC at No. 2, St. Joseph Regional (Montvale) moves to No. 3 after beating former No. 2 DePaul, which drops to No. 4.
Look for more possible changes this week as Bergen Catholic plays its arch-rival Don Bosco Prep, which sits at No. 5 this week and just outside of the HSFA 100.
