The No. 1 team in Week 1 in the High School Football America Florida Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football, is St. Thomas Aquinas after an impressive win over nationally-ranked St. Frances Academy on national television. Next-up for the two-time defending 7A champs is No. 16 Jesuit. STA is also ranked No. 4 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.

In all, the top seventeen teams in our statewide rankings are ranked in our Top 100.

The biggest mover in the national rankings this past week was Treasure Coast, which entered the national rankings at No. 61 after beating former No. 15 American Heritage (Plantation). TC started the game ranked No. 149 in America.

This week, No. 2 IMG Academy and No. 4 Miami Central have big interstate matchups. Defending national champ IMG, ranked No. 5 in the nation, is in Ohio to play No. 21 La Salle. No. 4 Miami Central, which lost to St. John Bosco in Southern California two weeks ago, will play No. 55 Bishop Gorman from Nevada.
