St. Thomas Aquinas, which ended the regular season ranked #12 in the High School Football America Top 25, will probably end the season in the Top 10 when our final rankings come-out on December 21st.  Friday night the Raiders won their eighth overall Florida state championship with a 31-0 shutout of Osceola in the 7A championship game.

The Raiders, who began the season ranked #3 in our HSFA preseason rankings, ended the season on a roll after a loss in Week 2 to Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey).  Over their last 12 games, St. Thomas Aquinas outscored their opponents by more than 550 points.

Friday night’s shutout was the seventh of the season for STA.  The Raiders eight state titles put them second behind The Bolles School on Florida’s all-time football titles list.  Bolles has won eleven state crowns.
