After Friday night’s 18-13 loss by Soldotna (Alaska), snapping the Stars’ 59 game win streak, Barrow High School, now owns the longest active streak in Alaska. The defending Division III state champs now own a seven game win streak after its win against Nikiski Saturday.

With Friday night’s win in its season opener, two-time defending Hawaii Open Division champ Saint Louis, ranked No. 73 in the High School Football America Preseason 100, extended its state leading win streak to 16 in a row.

With the Soldotna loss, I thought it was time to update the story I did on June 6, which was a state-by-state listing of the longest active win streaks heading into 2018.

Kimberly (Wisconsin), currently has the longest active streak. The Papermakers will put it on the line Friday when it opens the season against Fond du Lac.
