Steve Trapp of DeKalb County named Tennessee Titans Coach of the Week

The National Football League’s Tennessee Titans are honoring Steve Trapp of DeKalb County as their Coach of the Week. Trapp is in his 15th season as the head coach of Tigers.

After a 1-3 start this season, Trapp and his team have won five straight heading into this week’s game against Cumberland County. This past Friday’s 24-20 win against Macon County gave the Tigers their first region title in school history. Last season, DeKalb County advanced to the Class 4A state quarterfinals.

Trapp’s program will receive a $1,000 donation courtesy of the Titans Foundation, plus he is now in the running for the 2020 Titans’ Coach of the Year Award.
