Ten years after opening, Summit won its first-ever Tennessee high school football championship. Summit beat Oak Ridge 28-7 Friday to win the 5A state championship.

Destin Wade ran for 93 rushing yards with two touchdowns, plus he completed 7-of-10 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown.
