TAPPS crowns 6-Man high school football champs

On Thursday, the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) crowned its three 6-Man high school football champs.

In Division I, First Baptist Christian of Pasadena beat Coram Deo Academy 76-36 in Waco.

For the third time in four years, Covenant Classical is a 6-Man champ. The Fort Worth school won the Division II title with an 80-32 win over Alpha Omega Academy.

Freshman quarterback Noah Keyes completed 22 of 33 passes for 390 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Division III title goes to Wichita Christian with a 52-12 win over Heritage School from Fredericksburg. It’s the school’s first high school football championship.
