History was made Sunday afternoon with a team representing the National Football League‘s Philadelphia Eagles winning the first-ever Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association Big 33 girls’ flag tournament.

High-school-aged teams representing the Eagles Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders battled in a round-robin tournament leading up to the championship game that was part of the 67th annual Big 33 Football Classic in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Earlier this month, the NFL partnered with the Big 33, allowing the Commanders, Eagles, Ravens and Steelers to nominate an all-star high school team from their market to play in the two-day tournament. The teams were coached by coaches from different programs.

During the round-robin part of the tournament, the Eagles, Steelers and Commanders finished 2-1. The Ravens entry was 0-3.

Below you can watch the Eagles defeat the Steelers 20-14 in the championship game from our friends at D-11 Sports.

Pennsylvania is currently moving toward sanctioning girls’ flag as an official high school sport.

Last month, Colorado, with help from the Denver Broncos, became the 11th state in the nation to sanction the fast-growing sport.
