Alonso Escalante, who has held many assistant coaching jobs in the National Football League, is the new head football coach at Tenafly High School in New Jersey. A Glen Rock High School (New Jersey) alum, Escalante, 35, go his first NFL job in 2011 with the Oakland Raiders.

Escalante also had stops with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers.

Last season, Escalante spent time at DePaul Catholic, which won the Non-Public B state championship.
