Tenafly’s Alonso Escalante takes NFL coaching job with New York Jets

After two seasons as the head coach at Tenafly in New Jersey, Alonso Escalante is heading back to the National Football League. Escalante has been hired as an assistant by the New York Jets, who recently hired Aaron Glenn as their new head coach.

Prior to taking over the Tenafly program in 2023, Escalante had spent over 10-years as an assistant with the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Over the past two years, Tenafly was 10-10, finishing 4-6 this past season.
